Samea Derrick – cellist
Samea Derrick is a sophomore at Academy of the Canyons, which is a middle college high school where she takes college classes in addition to her high school courses. Samea has been playing the cello for five years and has, in addition to soloing with this very orchestra in front of you has also performed concertos with the Symphony of the Canyons and the Santa Clarita Philharmonic. She is part of a long distance running team and also plays the piano. Samea is currently considering a career in music or law. She loves moose and dislikes hairless cats with a passion.
