Evan Wendell

Evan Wendell is an interdisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. After graduating from California Institute of the Arts with a degree in instrumental performance in 2020, they have continued to seek out new and challenging opportunities for collective sound making. This has led in a multitude of directions, from premiering new works of contemporary chamber music to recording with singer/songwriters and pop artists. They have given premiers by and collaborated with a broad spectrum of artists including George Lewis, Wolfgang von Schweinitz, Gerard & Kelly, Sarah Davachi, and Tyshawn Sorey. Outside of LA, they have performed in workshops and seminars such as the Center for Advanced Musical Study at Chosen Vale and the Banff International Workshops. Through these they have had the opportunity to work alongside ensembles and artists such as the International Contemporary Ensemble, Peter Evans, Vicky Chow, Steve Schick, Marco Blaauw, Markus Stockhausen, and Clement Saunier. Evan is also an active faculty member with Kadima Conservatory of Music, having joined the ensemble in Fall 2022.
