Brian Benning

Brian Benning is a tenor and freelance violinist, currently performing in the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles areas. He hails from a musical family and started his journey on violin at the young age of three years old. He has studied with many great pedagogues, including Manual Compinsky, Sherry Kloss, Linda Rose, and Robert Lipsett. Brian has performed regularly as a studio musician, and can be heard on the soundtracks for the Star Trek series and JAG, and can also be heard paying live at the Grammy awards. He has also recorded with prominent popular acts such as Prince, Beyonce, Ray Charles, Kiana Kari, Neil Diamond, and Josh Groban. Mr. Benning has played with the Santa Barbara Symphony, Pasadena Symphony as well as with the Pasadena Pops, Long Beach Symphony, and tours in Japan every two years.

Brian teaches as well as performs, and has maintained his own private studio for the past 15 years. He currently teaches and coaches at the Kadima Conservatory of Music and Van Gogh Street Elementary School. Brian is the newest member of the Kadima String Quartet.
