Yi-Huan Zhao has been the Concertmaster of St. Matthew’s Chamber Orchestra since the 1999-2000 season. He is also the Concertmaster of Los Angeles Symphonic Camerata. Since his arrival in Los Angeles from China in 1992, Mr. Zhao has played in various orchestras including American Youth Symphony, Debut Orchestra, University of Southern California Symphony, Los Angeles Symphony Chamber Orchestra, Ventura County Symphony, Ventura Chamber Orchestra, Santa Monica College Orchestra, Pasadena Symphony, San Fernando Valley Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony, Downey Symphony, Burbank Chamber Orchestra, West L.A. Chamber Orchestra, Opera A La Carte serving as Concertmaster, Principal Second Violin, Associate Concertmaster and Violin section player.
As an enthusiastic chamber musician, Mr. Zhao has been a member of the Kadima String Quartet. He has appeared frequently in Culver City chamber music series and other chamber music concerts in California.
Currently, Mr. Zhao is also involved in Hanyi Inc., a promotional company showcasing talented Chinese Classical Musicians in North America and China.
