Beth Elliott is a freelance violist and contractor in the Los Angeles area. Ms. Elliott plays with many symphonies and chamber groups including the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, the Los Angeles Concert Orchestra and is principal violist for the San Fernando Valley Symphony where she has also been a featured soloist. Beth has been seen and heard in a variety of music recordings, videos, and movies including newest release, The Hebrew Hammer. She has been featured in the Los Angeles Times for her work connecting music with Alzheimer’s patients and the elderly.

Since founding the Kadima Conservatory of Music in 1983, Ms. Elliott has been active as it’s music director as well as maintaining a full private studio. The Conservatory has three symphonic programs and conducts a yearly Summer Music Seminar with over 300 students of all ages. Beth is also co-founder and violist of the Kadima String Quartet. In addition to teaching and performing Beth is the San Fernando Valley Chairperson for the National Federation of Music Clubs Junior Festival and Superior Honors Festival.

Ms. Elliott has studied music since the age of eight. Her viola teachers and chamber coaches have included Lucien LaPorte, Peter Rejto, John Waltz, Bonita Clause, Manuel Compinsky, and Keith Greene. Beth lives in Sherman Oaks with her husband John, a psychotherapist and writer, and their three cats.
